This research report explored the experiences and preferences of snack subscription app users.
I analyzed a variety of competitor products and user reviews, and created and distributed a consumer survey. These helped me build new user personas, and gave me insights into the snack subscription market, user pain points, and the value of product features.
While the recommendations I made were designed to support the content design of a new, fictional app, all the analysis is of real products and real users.
Thanks to the research results, I changed my product concept. I originally envisioned a junk food app for nostalgic ex-pats. When I understood consumers’ enthusiasm for exotic snacks from faraway countries, I expanded my concept to include both familiar favorites and surprise products.
